TYNE TRANS

Being differently-gendered can be a very isolating condition. Many people with gender issues are still ‘in the closet’, which means that they hardly ever get to meet anyone like themselves, and this can often cause loneliness, depression, anxiety, etc.

Even those who are ‘out’ often lead very solitary lives, or don’t get much of a chance to make friends or meet people who share their interests.

Tyne Trans can help to break the feelings of isolation, give information, advice and emotional support, and encourage members to take an active role in society (to the extent that they are able). It doesn’t matter if you are ‘out’, or what gender expression you have - we can help.

Tyne Trans is a constituted community support organisation.
